Michael Vick Blames Broken Hand on Late Hit
Search for Sports Apps! Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick fractured his right hand in Sunday’s 29-16 loss to the New York Giants, just a week after he was concussed in his team’s defeat to the Atlanta Falcons.
Vick broke the bone when he took a hit from defensive tackle Chris Canty after he completed a key pass to Jeremy Maclin during the third-quarter, go-ahead drive.
Vick later complained that the hit was late and he was at a loss why officials took no action.
“I was trying to protect myself and still I didn’t get a flag,” Vick told reporters.
“I’m on the ground constantly, all the time. Every time I throw the ball, I’m on the ground.
“I don’t know why I don’t get the 15-yard flags everybody else does.”
