Accused Child Molester Sandusky Using The Legal System
Search for Sports Apps! Former Penn State football coach Jerry Sandusky is accused of abusing 10 boys over a 15-year span, this we all know. Now he is using the legal system to try and force a court ruling to help his cause suggesting that a trial delay might be the best way to address the case’s intense publicity. Sandusky wants jurors in his child sex abuse trial to be chosen from the community where he lives.
His lawyer filed court documents Wednesday opposing a request by the state attorney general’s office to bring in out-of-county jurors. His lawyer says publicity about Sandusky’s case has been so pervasive that jurors from other counties will also have been saturated with news coverage. He says there’s no better place than Centre County to pick jurors for Sandusky’s trial.
Why in the world should we even give this man a break is the question. Joe Paterno did not get a break and he isn’t even here to defend himself anymore. The U.S. legal system is a joke and frankly this trial will end up becoming more of a circus. Let’s get the man his day in court and then feed him to the lions if he is guilty, but let’s do it quickly.
