Denver Nuggets Center Suspected of Internet Crimes Against Children
Search for Sports Apps! Denver Nuggets center Christopher Andersen, aka The Birdman, has been “excused indefinitely” from the team for internet crimes against children.
The authorities have seized property from Andersen’s Colorado home, but he has not yet been arrested or charged with a crime.
Hopefully Andersen is innocent of whatever he is suspected of doing, especially since the suspicious activity involves children. In Colorado, Internet Crimes Against Children can be anything from sharing a pornographic image of a child all the way to luring them to meet for sexual purposes. So this is really serious stuff.
Keep in mind that internet crimes can be tricky due to hackers, public access to computers, and other sneaky ways people exploit the internet. So Andersen might be a victim here himself in this situation. Time will tell.
It would be too easy to write a scathing piece right now, and that was our first instinct. A lot of people will judge him quickly given his persona with the wild hair and tattoos too. That said, as of this time we want people to understand that Christopher Andersen has not been charged. We want to give him the benefit of the doubt and wait to see what the authorities say.
In our opinion this is the lowest of the low in crime. Whoever is involved in this, we hope to see them prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
