Chad Ochocinco has signed with the Miami Dolphins, as reported by OchoCinco News Network, in other words, Chad Ochocinco’s News Network. Being that OCNN is reporting Chad Ochocinco signing somewhere, seems like they should have some good sources in regards to those dealings. The New York Jets will still get to see Chad Ochocinco twice this season.

All of a sudden, what seemed like a potentially dull season of Hard Knocks just got a spark. Chad Ochocinco will certainly infuse some life into the HBO series when the cameras chronicle Miami Dolphins training camp. As for how this impacts the New York Jets, in truth the impact is minimal. The Jets will still see Ochocinco twice a season and being that the Dolphins don’t feature many other receiving threats, that means two stays on Revis Island in store for Ochocinco.

While plenty of athletes have broken the news of their signing via Twitter, Chad Ochocinco took it to a new level with the OCNN report.

What OCNN did not report was the reasoning behind Chad Ochocinco’s departure from the New England Patriots. Rumor has it that Ochocinco wasn’t on the same page as Tom Brady when it comes to the option routes employed by the Patriots offense, which left him out in the cold in terms of playing time and targets in the passing game. Down in Miami he should be one of the top options, though the level of quarterback play will be quite a drop from Tom Brady.

Chad Ochocinco is a fun guy and it should spice up Hard Knocks, as we all know the Dolphins were going to be in over their heads trying to follow the Jets without some outside help. Ochocinco should help them out in that department, though he probably won’t be doing too much against the Jets on the field when he is shadowed by Darrelle Revis.
