The NBATV Documentary “THE DREAM TEAM” debuts tonight and from all accounts it will be outstanding. One to the rumors that has been around for years is that Michael Jordan would have refused to play on the team if Isiah Thomas was on it.

It was one of those rumors that most people took as fact, since no one ever came out and denied it.

It is a rumor no more.

“That was one of the stipulations put to me (on the team) that Isiah wasn’t part of the team,’’ Jordan said.

“Isiah was the general (of the Bad Boy Pistons),’’ Pippen said. “He was the guy who would yap at his teammates and say ‘Kick them on their ass. Do whatever you have to do.’ No, I didn’t want him on the Dream Team.’’

Talent wise Isiah Thomas should have been on the Dream Team, but he had burned bridges with Jordan going back to the freeze out of him at the All-Star Game his MJ’s rookie year.

By 1992 Michael Jordan was the GOD of Basketball, whatever he said was going to go, even though at that time he and Zeke had the same amount of rings.

Can’t wait to hear what other things come to light during the documentary.

    Isiah was one of the best players of all times and with isiah instead of micheal Jordan the Dream Team would have been even better. Scottie Pippens wihtout Jordan was nothing .
    but on the other hand Zeeke was like no other .We love you Isiah and always will thanks for being a true one.
