The New England Patriots have officially released wide receiver Chad Ochocinco.

The Patriots initially tried to trade Chad, but there were no takers. This leaves Ochocinco a free agent and ready to take his talents to another team.

Last season was dismal for the wide receiver, only catching 15 passes for 276 yards.

It doesn’t look like Ochicinco is bitter with the Patriots organization, as he tweeted out:

Thoroughly enjoyed the oppurtunity to play for the “Patriot” organization… fans were f***ing wicked awesome, I wish all of you the best…
