Who loses a borrowed watch worth $376,000? Tennis star Rafael Nadal does!

Well, we have since found out that the watch was not really lost, but stolen from a Paris hotel. The good news is that the police have found the watch and Rafael Nadal is off the hook.

What is most interesting is how dumb the thief was. It ended up being a hotel barman who used his employee card to enter the room and take the watch. Since he used the card, it was very easy to trace back and find the perp. Word is he buried it outside in the ground to hide it too. The hotel employee has been arrested for this really boneheaded crime.

Rafael Nadal is approaching the $50 million dollar mark in career earnings, so he probably didn’t lose a ton of sleep over this mishap.
