Earlier today, the indomitable Jose Canseco declared via Twitter that, if given the chance he would win tonight’s MLB All-Star Home Run Derby.  
Canseco was a feared slugger back in the day, however…….Canseco is 47, Jamie Moyer territory. On the other hand, he does have a sterling Home Run Derby record.  Let’s see, what is it – oh, yeah… 2 appearances (1986, 1990) and a TOTAL of 1, as in single solitary, home run.

Give Mr. Canseco credit for being able to keep his name in front of the public, but come on!  This is obviously just another in a long line of  self-promoting media , in this case social media, exploits to keep his name out there.

Come to think of it, I guess Jose has done it again.
