Major League Baseball’s 2012 Postseason TV promo features several perennial playoff teams (Yankees, Angels, Rangers).  Also included are some teams that are not exactly playoff fixtures, but have a real shot at making them this year.

The Washington Nationals, represented by Bryce Harper and Stephen Strasburg (surprise!),  have not made the playoffs since becoming the Washington Nationals in 2005.  Prior to that, the franchise made the playoffs only once, in 1981, when it lost in the NLCS as the Montreal Expos.

What can you say when a long-suffering team and fan-base finally have a realistic shot at the postseason?  I’d have to say, COOL!
