Andrew Luck vs Jets

Andrew Luck’s performance in yesterday’s 35-9 loss to the Jets was probably his worst outing to date, going 22 for 44, zero TDs, 2 interceptions and his lowest passer rating (51.3) of the year.

The man he replaced in a Colts uniform, Peyton Manning, steps to center stage tonight as a sure-fire future Hall of Famer when the Broncos take on the Chargers in San Diego. Manning set the rookie single season record for passing yards (3,739 – since broken by Cam Newton) and TDs (26) in 1998.

NFL rookie quarterbacks, no matter how great their talent or potential, are almost expected to have games like the one Luck had at MetLife Stadium.

But, Luck is currently well ahead of Manning in these 2 stats 5 games into their respective careers. Check out the chart below, courtesy of businessinsider.com.
