That was the situation facing the Ravenna High Ravens (Ohio) against the Field High Falcons on October 5. With less than 1 minute left in the 4th quarter, the Ravens’ QB rolls out and is trapped and falling, so he does the best he can – a backwards over-the-head pass toward the end zone.
Although that’s probably not how it was drawn up, the amazing play won the game. Kudos to the QB for his effort and to the receiver for his concentration.
